CFI Partner Program Terms
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Partner Program Terms ("Partner Terms") are a contract between you and Work Task Flow LLC("Aerlon", "we", "us"). They govern the Aerlon CFI Partner Program. By submitting a partner application you agree to these Partner Terms and to the Aerlon Terms of Service, which are incorporated by reference. If there is a conflict about the Partner Program specifically, these Partner Terms control.
1. The program
The Partner Program lets approved flight instructors ("Partners") earn a commission for referring students to Aerlon. When we approve your application, you receive a personal referral link. A person who visits Aerlon through your link and later becomes a paying customer is a "Referred Student".
- Attribution — your link sets a browser cookie that lasts up to 90 days. Attribution is locked when the visitor creates an Aerlon account (first attribution wins, last link clicked before sign-up). Each customer can be attributed to at most one Partner, once, ever.
- Our records govern— commissions are determined in good faith from Aerlon's tracking records. Attribution can fail for reasons outside anyone's control (cleared cookies, blocked cookies, different devices); we are not obligated to credit referrals our systems did not record.
2. Eligibility
- You are at least 18 and can form a binding contract in the U.S.
- You hold (or held) an FAA flight or ground instructor certificate, or are otherwise an aviation educator we approve.
- Everything in your application is accurate, and you'll keep your contact and payout details current on your dashboard.
We review applications by hand and may approve or decline at our discretion.
3. Commissions
- What you earn— the commission rate shown on your partner dashboard (25% of the Referred Student's first payment unless we've agreed otherwise in writing), applied to the amount Aerlon actually collects on that first payment, excluding taxes and payment-processing adjustments.
- First payment only— one commission per Referred Student, ever. Renewals, upgrades, and later purchases don't pay additional commissions.
- Free trials— most Aerlon plans start with a free trial. The commission is created when the student's first real (non-zero) payment succeeds, not at sign-up.
- Refunds and disputes — if the payment behind a commission is refunded or charged back before payout, the commission is voided. If it happens after payout, we may deduct the amount from your future balance or ask you to return it.
4. Payouts
- Commissions are held for a 30-day refund window, then become payable.
- We pay out manually once your payable balance reaches $25, using the payout method you set on your dashboard (Zelle, PayPal, or check). Balances under $25 roll forward.
- Taxes are yours— you're an independent contractor. Before your payouts reach $600in a calendar year, we'll ask you for a completed IRS Form W-9, and we'll issue a 1099-NEC as required. We may withhold payouts above that threshold until we have your W-9.
- If we can't pay you (no payout method, undeliverable, no W-9) your balance rolls forward. Balances unclaimed 12 months after we first attempt contact about them may be forfeited where the law allows.
5. You must disclose the partnership (FTC rules)
U.S. Federal Trade Commission rules (16 C.F.R. Part 255) require you to clearly disclose that you earn money when someone joins Aerlon through your link — every time and everywhere you recommend it: in person, in a syllabus, in texts, on social media.
Simple language that works: "I earn a commission if you sign up through my link."
This isn't optional. Failing to disclose violates these Partner Terms and federal law, and is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of related commissions.
6. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Misrepresent Aerlon — never state or imply that Aerlon is FAA-approved, FAA-endorsed, or a substitute for flight or ground instruction with a certificated instructor. Aerlon is a supplemental study tool.
- Spam — no unsolicited bulk email, texts, or messages. If you email people your link, you are the sender under CAN-SPAM and similar laws and must comply with them.
- Bid on our name— no search or social ads targeting "Aerlon" or confusingly similar terms, and no representing yourself as Aerlon.
- Self-refer — no earning commissions on your own purchases or accounts you control, directly or indirectly.
- Manipulate tracking — no cookie stuffing, forced or hidden clicks, iframes, redirects designed to set the referral cookie without a real click, or automated traffic.
- Post to coupon/deal sites — your link is for your students and audience, not for coupon aggregators, unless we approve it in writing.
- Market to children — Aerlon Junior is purchased by parents. Aim your link and your promotion at adults.
Commissions generated through conduct that violates this section are void, whether or not already approved.
7. Free access perk
While you're an active Partner, you get free full access to Aerlon so you know what your students see. It's for your personal use, isn't transferable, and ends when your participation ends. It carries no cash value.
8. Relationship
You are an independent contractor. Nothing here makes you an employee, agent, or legal partner of Work Task Flow LLC, and you have no authority to bind us. The Partner Program creates no instructional relationship between Aerlon and you or your students — your flight and ground instruction is entirely your own responsibility, and Aerlon plays no role in it.
9. Term, suspension, and termination
- Either of us can end your participation at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You can stop by emailing hello@aerlon.io.
- On termination your link stops working and free access ends.
- If you didn't breach these Partner Terms, commissions already earned and cleared (past the 30-day hold) are still paid out on the normal schedule, even below the $25 minimum on the final payout.
- If you breached them (Sections 5 or 6), commissions connected to the breach are forfeit, and we may suspend your account while we investigate.
10. Changes to the program
We may change commission rates, payout mechanics, or these Partner Terms prospectively— changes never reduce commissions you've already earned. We'll notify you by email or on your dashboard; continuing to use your link after a change takes effect means you accept it. We may also pause or end the whole program, in which case Section 9 applies as a no-breach termination.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you under these Partner Terms is capped at the commissions we paid you in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits or lost business opportunities).
12. Governing law and disputes
These Partner Terms are governed by the laws of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes follow the same path as our Terms of Service: email hello@aerlon.io first and give us 30 days to resolve it informally; unresolved disputes go to binding arbitration under the AAA rules as described there.
